Gourd Museum

This Gourd Museum was established in 1964 by Marvin and Mary Johnson on their homestead in the Kennebec Community just opposite of the Fuquay-Angier Airport. The museum has gourd crafts from all around the world. There are tiny miniatures gourds like robin's eggs, dippers taller than a tall man and giant African mammoth gourds so strong Marvin had his picture taken standing on one. In 2006 the museum was relocated to the Angier Municipal Building.
